Showing how our riskiest speed limits are getting in the way of life.

Aotearoa is growing. And with more life on our roads, some of our speed limits are no longer fit for purpose. Ironically, some limits that are meant to keep us safe, are now putting us at risk. 

With New Zealand’s deeply ingrained attitude towards speed, The ‘Safer Limits’ campaign is a light-hearted approach aimed at getting Kiwis to lean into potential speed limit changes within their communities, to help keep people safe whether they’re driving, cycling or walking. It supports the recently announced national speed management programme and is part of Waka Kotahi’s bold vision of zero deaths or serious injuries on our roads.
